Pirate Captain Costume

Although my childhood is long gone now, I remember fondly playing at make believe. You would play armies or cops and robbers or even pirates. You would have imaginary gun or sword fights. If you died, you simply counted to 10 and came back to life again. Gee, wasn’t it simple in those days.  Kid’s today have far more choice when it comes to make believe and they can even dress up in actual costumes to make the fun more realistic. If they are keen on playing pirates then the child Jack Sparrow costume might be just what they are looking for.

The child Jack Sparrow costume is taken from the character in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movie series. Jack Sparrow seemed to be the shining light in the movie series and pretty much ensured that more than just one movie was made.

Whilst the other characters were more conventional, Jack injected humor, pirate style and madcap antics into the films. For this reason most people took him to their hearts. And now kids can dress like him too.

The kids costume is pretty much exactly the same as the adult version. It is a good representation of the original costume as worn by Johnny Depp in the films. It is the officially licensed Disney costume which says a lot about the authenticity.

It includes a bandanna, Pirates hat with dreadlock wig. There is also a white shirt, blue vest or waistcoat and brown pants. There are two belts with oversized buckles and a sash.

You would probably have to get some boots that could be passed off as pirate boots. Add some cuffs to the top of the boots to make them look more realistic. Also think about getting a fake plastic sword, cutlass or flintlock pistol for those all important fights.

Whether your child is wearing this costume for trick or treat or just generally for playing at make believe, he will have a ball acting out his favorite scenes or making up new ones.
